Waves of Grief

How to let go? There is no manual no book of directions. Matt said " your dad left a crater" . That's where we are. Can't seem to let go of a painting I did while Daddy was sick. Some childish feeling that if I let go of it I'm letting go of him. Today I hung this little square of blue fabric, thinking of those beautiful Tibetan prayer flags and the wind taking the prayers to God. A little square to keep while I let go of another square, the last painting created while he was here on earth, in his brown chair right next to me. Kissed it and talked to him before I hung it up.
